This combined course reviews the NFPA 1002, Standard for Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications job performance requirements for aerial operators. Students will understand the responsibilities of firefighters who are assigned to drive and operate department vehicles that are equipped with aerial devices. Topics include general principles of aerial operations, safe driving techniques, positioning apparatus to maximize efficiency, apparatus maintenance, inspections and testing.

IFSAC Certification Testing: | IFSAC Accredited Driver Operator Aerial written and skills testing will be offered on Friday, March 11, and July 15, 2022 |

Prerequisites: | IFSAC Accredited Firefighter I, HazMat Awareness, HazMat Operations |

Registration Fee: | $500 $300 for Kentucky Firefighters All fees must be paid in full on last day of class to receive a course completion certificate. |
